Michigan’s trails system takes you where you want to go.

They transport you to a world of opportunity. An adrenaline-pumping climb on your mountain bike pushes you to your physical and mental limits. A community rail-trail connects your family to a Friday night treat at a locally owned ice cream store.

Michigan is a four-season wonderland where you can experience its vast range of motorized and nonmotorized trails all year long. The trails system reflects the needs and desires of its users, and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources would like to hear from you.

The DNR is updating the statewide trails plan and is seeking input. Between November 2019 and summer 2021, the DNR will be reviewing existing plans, requesting partner and stakeholder input, and seeking public feedback on priorities for Michigan’s trails.
